Please read our Privacy Policy carefully before using this website ("the Site"). In this Policy "STASIS", "we", "us" and "our" means The STASIS Project Consortium and "you" means the individual who is using the Site.

Our obligations towards you

When you supply any personal information to us we have legal obligations towards you in the way we deal with that data. We must collect the information fairly, that is, we must explain how we will use it and tell you if we want to pass the information on to anyone else. In general, any information you provide to us will never be supplied to anyone outside of STASIS without first obtaining your explicit consent, unless we are obliged or permitted by law to disclose it.

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested, and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

How do we collect and use information about you?

When you register to receive our free newsletter via e-mail, we collect and store your e-mail address for as long as you use the service. It is possible to unsubscribe from this service at any time by following the instructions contained within the e-mail you will receive when you register, or the subsequent e-mail newsletters. When you unsubscribe we will immediately delete your e-mail address from our system and you will receive no further e-mail communications from us.

We will also collect information about you when you submit an e-mail enquiry via the Site, or when you submit an entry to our guestbook.

We will use the information you supply us with to progress any business we have with you. We may check the information you provide us with to validate its accuracy.

Use of cookies

We do not use cookies on our Site, and we will not record any information relating to your visit to the Site on your computer.

Security

Our Site does not enable our visitors to communicate with other visitors or for them to post information to be accessed by others, with the exception of our guestbook (where all posts are checked before being posted onto the Site).

Please remember that Internet communications are not secure unless the data being sent is encrypted. We cannot accept any responsibility for unauthorised access by a third party or the corruption of data sent to us.
