STASIS has recently met with the Semantic Interoperability Centre Europe (SEMIC.EU) to explore potential collaboration opportunities.

SEMIC.EU is a cluster of organisations, largely in the governmental sector, assigned the goal by the European Commission to gather and collate member states' semantic assets. This task is not currently automated and is reliant upon a group of experts manually studying supplied information submitted in an unstructured way. These, of course, were exactly the kind of problems that STASIS was devised to solve.

An early beta version of the STASIS Desktop Application was demonstrated and well received by SEMIC.EU personnel. In fact, we are currently in the process of identifying ways in which STASIS and SEMIC.EU can cooperate.

Further information will be posted here in due course.

Visit SEMIC.EU for further information on their activities.
